For our Ocean Freight Operations Cluster Germany and Switzerland located at any of our ocean freight sites in Germany, f.e. Frankfurt, Hamburg, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Mannheim, Stuttgart or Munich we are looking for an  

Ocean Business Implementation Manager (f/m/d)

You are responsible for implementing new customers and must have a strong operational background, solid process knowledge as well as a deep ocean freight transport management understanding. The Implementation Manager supports the Operation team with the focus to implement new multinational accounts successfully with the objective to accomplish a superior customer service. 

Your tasks:

  • Business Implementation initiatives in close cooperation with the operation team in the countries 
  • Close cooperation with customers stakeholder management 
  • Project management for all implementation initiatives within the clusters 
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget 
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Measure project performance and deliverables using appropriate tools and techniques 
  • Ensure resource allocation and availability 
  • Collect and align operational and process requirements within the cluster 
  • Drive and implement agreed organizational and process changes 
  • Report and escalate to management as needed 
  • Actively manage stakeholder communication and dependencies 
Your profile:
  • Bachelor Degree in logistics or equivalent traineeship in freight forwarding
  • Strong and profound operational background in ocean freight
  • Business Development or KAM experience is appreciated 
  • Working experience in project management, respective certification is a plus 
  • Analytical and conceptual capabilities
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills 
  • Cooperative team working attitude 
  • Quality and efficiency driven
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in Business English  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to travel
