We have an exceptional opportunity for a highly engaging and motivated Business Development Manager to join our friendly team in Melbourne.

In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities across 3PL Contract Logistics and continuing to build on existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Lead logistics business development opportunities (tendering, pricing, presentations) based on customer requirements
  • Developing strategies and activities to support existing customer relationships
  • Actively support defined campaigns (e.g., vertical markets, trade lanes, transport modes, import/export)
  • Adapt to changing client requirements, market trends, legislation and translate into innovative solutions
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with external and internal clients
  • Develop and manage initiatives on new sales contacts with the marketing/sales teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop value added solutions
  • Contribute to overall plans, strategies, budgets, and performance reviews

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have the ability to build genuine relationships with customers and have a strategic approach to developing new business opportunities. 

Additionally, you will have: 
  • Experience in sales and business development roles (within supply chain & logistics)
  • Exposure to complex account sales & management
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present at board level
  • An ability to build genuine relationships with new and existing customers
  • Well developed conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Resilient and ability to adapt to changing environments
  • A creative approach and flair for innovation
