AIR FREIGHT Warehouse Operator Night’s (screener responsibilities)

Heathrow - 6pm to 6am 4 on / 4 off

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operator to join our growing team in our Heathrow branch. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful global company. The purpose of the role is to contribute to an efficient processing of operational activities within our 24/7 warehouse team servicing our UK and Ireland and Euro customer’s.

The Role:

Screener responsibilities

        Receiving inbound and outbound export and import freight (using GXD system) 

Booking in freight (using GXD system)

Loading and unloading of vehicles using forklift truck

Sort and split freight as per customer Standard Operating Processes

Reporting any operational queries to relevant Supervisor Duty Officer or Shift manager

Develop and maintain good, professional working relationships with other departments and external suppliers

Strict adherence to customer KPI's 

Control of customer storage using the management system of GXD.

Forklift training and license can be provided but preferable to already have in place

About you 
Previous demonstrable experience in a fast-moving distribution environment
Strong demonstrable communication and proven IT skills
Demonstrable flexible and proactive approach in order to meet and exceed operational objectives
Proven knowledge of Microsoft office products
Practical mathematical skills
Counterbalance Forklift licence (preferable)
Self-Motivated and enthusiastic individual able to work on own and as a team.
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
